Hi guys,

As the questions suggests I wanted to know if the el xr8 came out with factor headrests for the backseat?
My car does not have any and it doesn't have any provision for them either.

Does this sound right?

No EL XR's had rear headrests.

The only way to get them would be to pick up a Fairmont rear seat set (that came with removable headrests) and throw your EL XR trim over the Fairmont foams, and cut the XR trim for the headrest pole channels, fit the channels ...and then score another pair of EL XR front headrests to go in these channels.

Thanks mate. You champion.

I might consider doing this one day but i think it sounds like a expensive exercise.
I would have no idea on how to do it myself!

EA-ED headrests (Front or rear) will go straight into the back seat of the EF/EL. EF/EL front headrests will not go into the back seats. The poles are a different size and space.

Also, EA-ED doughnut headrests are a lot cheaper and easier to get then the EF/EL doughnut headrests.

Is this also possible with EB-ED rear seats?

Been wanting some headrests in the rear without getting fairmont/fairmont ghia trim...

Im stripping my ef ghia for parts, if you wanted the seats too?
Leathers not the best, but seats themselves are real good... If you would be swapping the covers anyway spose it doesnt matter.

Guess youd only need the rear centre backs.

The ones with the hole through the centre, ey? (makes the car go faster).
Do fronts fit in the rear seats? Might need to raid an eb/ed... Ive seen some fairmontd or ghias at wreckers with those style. Leather though.

Why you want em anyway?

There is too...
Otherwise youcan always call ferntree gully auto salvage. They pretty good there. If they dont have, they'll find it.

Sorry to heist your thread, but any ideas on new seatbelts for EF/EL?

Hi,

Check everything before you start this project. The rear seat with headrests had a folding center armrest, so you cant just swap the covers.
