After changing to LEDs on Sunday, (thanks Brad Dave and Dan) I've found the light on my cluster is very patchy. (Brighter at some point than at others)

I changed from EL cluster dial faces to the EF cluster dial faces. The original EL cluster Dial faces just had a simple plastic front with White translucent markings, (for the cluster lights to shine through) when the lights were on. they lit up evenly.

The EF dials, however, had gradutated transucency on their rear sides, (where the globes are located, the area directly above the globe has heavy plastic, to not let much light through, and further away from the globe, it has thin plastic to let lots of light through, so that all the dials are evenly lit)

Did the EL clusters have a Lightpipe or other such device that the EF didn't? If so, I'd probably need to remove this to allow the light to spread evenly with my EF dials.

I've seen both EL and EF dials un-modded at night, and they light up evenly.

cheers
