Ok, so there was someone saying they were making a loom to plug and play for the fairlane digital dash to go into the falcons/fairmonts but I haven't been able to contact them..

I have a ED fairmont and a NC fairlane cluster with the big black plug.

I also have wiring diagrams but was wondering has anyone been able to do this with sucess and to get the "door open" display working?

Many thanks

I've done this on my Fairmont wagon. You need at least a ED fairmont BEM to drive the lcd dimmer etc by memory and will also need the little black switches to each door as well as the magnet switch for the fuel door. Big job if you want the doors to stop flapping. The easiest part was integrating the dash cluster looms to suit my NA Fairlane cluster.

For the door switches and fuel flap, you can use any of the E series equivalent f/lanes and LTD items.
The door switches vary a little between models, e.g. sealed case as opposed to clipped halves, but all fit fine.
