I'm interested in getting dash lights that are a direct swap for my EL Fairmont Ghia,
rather than having to do all the LED work and resistor related modifications. This is mainly because I feel as if I'm too inexperienced at the moment and would rather something easy and effective to do. I know you can get white Narva replacement globes, Being these: http://www.narva.com.au/products/browse/globes But apparently because they are multi-directional they cause the dash cluster to look patchy, Like this: Are there any other globes (other than OEM) that you can purchase in the standard bulb holder that are both effective and look good? If not, are there places that can retail the OEM globes. I know I'm going to cop a lot of flack for posting this, but I thought it's better asking than just getting someone to post me a link of the Neon Blue Dash Mod thread. Thank you, Russ.

i sell smd leds on ebay which are brighter then leds and i have never heard of anyone needing to do anything other then a direct replacemenet of globes. However i have found that the el series for some reason had sealed globes into the holders. if by chance you have removeable globes from the holders from an ef then my lites are the way to go and come in many different colours including bright white

I don't know that the EF had removable globes, but you've given me the idea of getting some of the holders with the removable option, and stick some T5 SMDs in, because that's what I originally did thinking all the globe holders were removable.

Is there a special Fordmods.com price? Haha.
I'll have to rip apart my Mum's EF wagon and swap some globes around, or go for a much needed wrecker crawl. Thanks, Russ.

should be indentical except not sealed. you will notice at the base end that sticks out, theres 2 small wires there. well ef doesnt have them. Keep those ones though for replacements like indicator warning lights etc in future

I'll be sure to post on here anyway. Cheers, Russ.
