Hey guys, I started this thread because I just know I'm going to run into some problems at some point with this mod.
First problem is the back seat. How do I go about moving the brackets on the floor to suit the LWB seat? Where should they be moved, and how do I do this? Also with the back seats, the side bolster bits. Do I remove the leather from the LTD bolsters and put them on my Fairmont bolsters, or can they be modded to fit also? Next is the front seats. First how do I remove the ones I have? I don't think an allen key will do it. And how do I hook up the power seats? Lastly is the door trims, how do I hook up the lights on these? Thanks, sorry I can't go into more detail, i'm off to work. The seats and door trims arrive tomorrow morning. UPDATE: Here are some pictures from the battleground, proving veryyyy frustrating. I haven't even got the back seats in yet. I put the chrome handles in though, because they are so cool  .
Thanks for the advice so far lads. My main foreseeable problems are as follows. - Fitting rear seats, either modifying or changing the brackets. - Hooking up the door trim lights (I have looms) - Hooking up electric seats (I have looms) Any help at all would be very appreciated, and thanks to twirqurky for his help so far.

Well ill be fitting all of mine sometime soon.............
For the back seat base, as far as i know, you dont need to move any brackets You will have a problem with the back rest brackets though when i had my seats re-done in black i had them put the LTD cushions and new leather onto my fairmont metal base so now i have no problems fitting them in the back but in your case you will need some modding, i think some people have moved or replaced the bottom brackets, not 100% sure because i didnt do it that way side bolsters... cant use them, i tried but they dont fit, best option i suppose it to get the leather off and re-trim your side bolsters with it for the front seats... no dont use an allen key, most likely wont work you need one of those Torx bits or what ever they call them on a ratchet or something i bought a set of them from autobahn or super cheap or somewhere, i cant remember exactly i havent put the door trims on yet so i havent come to the problem of wiring the lights on the door trim, most likely should be able to connect them up with the light switch on the door or something along those lines

You need a T50 torx bit for your front seats (repco sell these in 1/4 drive) - 4 Bolts and they are out.
Your back seat upper you may be better off removing teh cushions and leather cover off the ltd seats and putting it onto your factory seat back - Will be easier than drilling new bracket points

Okay, I'll give it my first attempt tomorrow. I'll have the front seats in atleast. Are the electric seats simple positive and negative terminal stuff? Or is it more complicated than that?

you need to run wiring from the fuse box to the seats - the connector is the same as another on ein the car - just remember that you need to use a good gauge wire as they do draw a bit of current!

With the rear seat backs I found it easiest to remove the material and foam off the seat backs and fit to your original framing. This is when I fitted EL XR sedan rear seat backs to EF wagon. Turns out the SWB and LWB sedan rear seat backs are different, and the wagons are different again.

Dunno about EF/EL, but boxcar LWB rear seat to SWB you can grind the pin out of the brackets, get the brackets off your old seats as well, and bolt them onto the backs.
The side cushions you can take the covering off, and put the LWB cover on your original foam, fits pretty good, the excess material just tucks in behind the cushion. It's a bit of work, bolt cutters are probably the easiest way to f**k off the circlet things taht hold the material on the side cushion, then punch holes in the appropriate spot in the new material and use cable ties. Note we were working with stuff out of a wagon, so as twr7cx said, possibly different for LWB Fairlane/LTD, or even different again because EF/EL
Least that gives you an idea of the amount of work lol

My dad's 95 Fairmont was in cappa, and that's the car that ignited my love of these cars. When we got into my Fairmont on the day we bought it I felt the grey was a bit of a downer, felt cheaper and taxi-like, the grey. I know the cappa won't go with the grey, that's why the idea is to eventually have the cappa seats, cappa bit on the door where your arm lays against (not the armrest section), and the rest of the interior black. I think that will look good. Ofcourse this will take ages though. @Samftr: Mate I'm hoping to sell the old interior at some point, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be using the brackets on the back of my Mont seat to make the LTD seats fit. Was thinking 300 for seats, door trims (top painted black) auto surround (painted black). Not all in mint condition, but I'll go into detail when I start a thread on that in for sale. My steering seems fine I guess, would going super low effect steering at all? Air con is chugging along okay @ 21 degrees, seems to struggle if I set it lower. I'll fix that some time. @fordzatmyplace: Nah mate it's cool, lol. @stomper: Thanks, definately something to keep me occupied (and hopefully not spending money!) for a while. @Mitch: You don't have a picture of how you got your Concorde seats to fit, do you? : P
