Being a Fairmont, the lower sections of the door trims would have been covered in velour from the factory.

Nice work mate, its good to see someone having a go at trimming. I have retrimmed a couple of cars, the best was a old corolla i did in black crushed velvet, it came up a million bucks.

Although i've never been a fan of painting interior parts, yours looks great.

I'll be interested to see how the black painted parts look after being used for a while.

Looks tops dude!! The black and grey go well together with the blue door cards. I like the way you've put the speaker in the rear doors too, fills up the empty-ness of the fairmojnt rear door trims. Was it easy to fit the speakers in?

the rear speakers were a pain but i never seen any1 do it before as you know its not a flush surface so what i did was measure out where the speaker would sit and within the hole i would be cutting i screwed 2 blocks of wood on each side to crush it flat it it worked to a extent but once i removed the blocks of wood it went half way back into shape so my idea now is mount a mdf speaker speaker on the inside of the door trim to bring it flat aint and to avoid damage on the strain to the speaker i will screw the speaker on 6.5" inch holes and just tack screw the speaker grills on so the main pressure it on the outer edge which in that sence dont put pressure on the speaker grill .....

ive seen people trim the door cards i just wanted sumthing simple not over the top so a simple navy blue to match the outside was my idea .

im going to take more navy blue into the car with black aswell

im lookin at leather seat covers in gray but with black centre parts with blue stitching im going to order a floor carpet in black also and 10m worth on trimming for the door jams and just paint the gray plastic parts black i dont wanna get rid of all the gray but i just want to break it down and get some colour in there

again thanks for input good for bad always good to know what you guys think
