i recently bought 2 spare el door with power windows in them, i will be putting these in my car. but n e way, that means i will have to spare door lock actuators left over. my mums au drivers doors doesnt lock properly and i was wondering if i could swap the ef/el ones for my mums au one??

In a word, no. Unfortunately they can't be used, completely different design.

The AU's have a habit of killing the actuators, best solution is to get a new one from Ford. They no longer sell the AU part, but instead sell the upgraded BA item, with an adaptor loom to suit AU.

Either that, or just get a secondhand AU one and hope for the best.
