I've had my windows tinted last month and have noticed that the drivers side window is really slow in doing up now.
Its like it nearly gets stuck....then it makes its way up Could they have done any bolts, etc up too tightly after they had finished tinting the windows? Do they actuallu take the windows out to tint them? Hope someone can shed some light here for me....

Try spraying some silicone on the window tracks. I would try that first before pulling the door apart.

Yes try the magic Silicone spray first because I had the same problem for 18 months before a neighbour told me I could rectify it with a simple Squirt of Silicone Spray.

How can you get to the window tracks without taking the door apart? Should you do it when the window is up or down? And at what points along the window should you spray it?

The silicone spray comes with a straw (nozzle connection) which can be placed inside the tracks where the window slides up and down. Just spray some silicone liberaly into the splits where the window runs up and down. Oh, and yes, you can only do it when the window is down |

Yeah,
When they done the tint, they would have cleaned up the tracks and window, leaving no "lube" to allow the window's to slide up and down easily. Just give the window tracks a spray "lube" them up again. That's the first thing to try before worrying about motors and electric's etc... It's just a process of elimination. |
