1st, check that ALL the globes are lighting up, LED's will only work one way around, any that aren't turn 180 degrees and try again.
However I have found that some LED's have a very directional beam of light, i.e. not much spread, so you'll end up with one really bright spot while the rest stays dull. Also Red needles really don't light up well with LED's

I bought leds from ebay which turned out to be really pathetic and flickered until they blew, I spent some decent coin and. Bought the quad leds from the jaycar site. And I can tell you its the best investment I've made, they are 3x as bright, better quality, easier to install

Got a link to these jaycar ones ?
I brought ones from jaycar and they were kinda bright but they were like a light aqua blue. Then I got some blue t5 SMD they wernt that bright . Then I got blue t5 LEDs but the dome type where u could see the cup.

I'd like to find some bright blue LEDs which light up the cluster real bright .
