I found the Narva ones pretty dull to begin with - although I've heard there's a new version out with low resistance resistors meaning brighter. So I replaced teh resisitors in mine with a lower value, sanded them flat and roughed up the sides for even glow and they're all good.

the resistors in these ones that i've got are inside the "wedge" meaning they can't be replaced

i think there pretty bright, just the angle is very narrow thats all

If they got in the wedge then they can come out of the wedge. You've obviously not using a big enough hammer and soldering iron.

If it works fine for you - great. If not, you can fix them or bin them.

glad to see you like the clock :D Are the ones you got from repco LED's? How bright are they? Do they spread the light evenly?

Yes they are leds and are bright they are called "globe-wedge 12v t10 grn led" and the part number at repco is 47868.
not sure how well they spread in the dash I'm doing that tomorrow but it is just as good a spread as the bulb in the clock. I'll let you know how well they go in the dash..
They come in RED BLUE GREEN and WHITE..
