Hi,

I know some people here have had the dreaded E2 code on the climate control units before. Mine has started doing it and I've tried everything but to no avail. I got Ford to check it out and they confirmed it was the blend motor, and they quoted $839 to fix it.

I've had half he dash out before, and have most of the tools (like Torx bit for steering wheel), but does anyone have any documented instructions/notes ? even something from a workshop manual would be nice.

My only concern now, is getting the part, Ford, its still going to sting me $288 and I'm not sure its worth the risk going to a wrecker for a second hand one.

Any advice/tips etc welcome.

Search the tech documents for Climate control conversion, it shows the blend motor installation.

Unfortunately the blend motor is easier to install than remove and may need the heater box removed to get at one of the motor screws.
