since the LED's are much lower heat and current... couldn't you do some creative installing and hook two up in the important places where there was only one before?

Done, I quoted you.... thanks.

Finally got around to putting some images in my gallery... hopefully you'll see a blue dash in there sometime soon.

yeah, thats what I figured..

cruise control stops me getting road rage.. that and my dvd stereo.... I can't do without the CC , but I've thought many times about moving to dash mounted switches for it..

there is one member on here who mounted the switches in the center console and just ran longer wires.. looks the trick, well worth a try if you wanna go aftermarkety, or even make up a side mount thing like the EF/EL's have

yeah, that sounds pretty good..

they are actually the same as power windows switches, and I have a box of them left over from my work at various car audio/accessory places.

might add that to my list, would be a shame to leave that wheel with it's lovely ford logo on my boat.

I am in the process of fitting a wheel to my car. I am building a custom bracket to mount between the wheel and the boss and using Micro Switches.

I cannot claim the idea as mine.

Here is a link to the guide I am using as a base for my conversion.
