I have the instrument cluster out on my XG GLi ute as the odometer cog broke but wondered if an EA S pack cluster would fit in. I want a tacho on the cluster but will there be problems with the wiring? I think the wires are already in my ute as the tach, voltage and oil temp wires are in the harness behind the cluster, but will they plug straight in and work? Any help is appreciated.

Looking at my oldmans XG S, it uses the EBII smartlock cluster.
Not sure if yours has smartlock, but if it has I don't know how you'd go with the EA cluster.

The smartlock cluster is only needed if you want the smartlock light. I fitted an EA cluster to me ED, then cut out one of the spare light sockects near the end on the bottom right and mounted my smartlock light there. For the ED it was plug and play.
You will see what i mean if you pull the cover of the front of the cluster and see the warning lights that run along the lower of the cluster, i just used one of these that was blank and installed the smartlock light there Brett
