just researching for a possible project, anyone put seats front and or back seat or tried? how about door trims?

mate, i think what people are trying to say is why would you want to put a 20year old interior in a 8or so year old car. that the equivalant of ford releasing the fg series with the ef/el interior.
like mentioned above i would just put another au seats in, if the seats are worn due to being an ex taxi. or just use seat covers :D

Is not, EF/L interior is nice!


The seat rails in the front are different from early e-series to AU. So you'd need to pull the seats apart and see if you could fit the cushion pieces to the AU rails - probably not straight forward.
The doors are different, so door trims are a no as well.
Better off finding an AU being wrecked and pay the $100 for the interior.

i myself would pay $100 for the interior from the wreckers, but this is a mate wants to do it on the cheap with the interior from the EA im wrecking.

Simple ask 120 for your seats, then suggest he hits up a wrecker to save money, your just being an enabler at this stage. :lol:
