I just bought a EA SVO locally and i got a few questions about the interior.
It has climate control, cruise control and a trip computer. Do SVO's have these? What steering wheel should it have? What do the seats look like? I just wanna make sure it's all original. i looked on google for EA SVO's but there isn't much info. cheers in advance

I'm pretty sure you could get SVOs based off both the S-pack and Fairmont Ghia. Therefore the Ghia-based one used climate, cruise etc. and also scored the digi-dash (but with an SVO logo on it). I've seen the seats used the original cloth/velour pattern but were more heavily bolstered. I've seem quite a few with EA1 Ghia velour but haven't seen any with the EAII stuff

This might help, it has been copied from another Ford Forum
Quote: SVO Conversions were done by Mick Webb's SVO through Bib Stillwell dealers of Melbourne and cost between $8000 -10200, we are talking 1988
He only performed modifications to EA Fairmont Ghia and EA Falcon S Models. Improvements included Bilstein Gas Dampers, uprated front and rear springs (dropping ride height by 35 to 50 mms), thicker front and rear anti roll bars with beefier bushes and whole new wheel alignment specifications all for $1960 of the price. Mated to this is $1760 worth of Mick Webb's own SVO alloy wheels preferably fitted with a further $1280 worth of Bridgestone tyres. The body treatment added another $2150 and included baked Glasurit two - tone paint, neat front and rear spoilers, various detail stuff like tail light lenses and SVO badging. The interior, meanwhile, got a not-inconsequential $1990 spend on Recaro front seats and re-trimmed matching rears, with Ford specified trims of course. Other details were Momo wheel and leather shift knob What? oh the engine. Well it's basically untouched, except for SVO's own maxi flow exhaust sysem , clever piece of equipment with extractors made by Genie to Webb's own design, and a stainless steal mandrel bent exhaust system which Webb said made a tremendous difference to the car's breathing capabilities. To better enhance it's performance Webb also specified the optional 3.23 differential instead of the standard 2.77. |

Attachment: DSCF0433.jpg Attachment: DSCF0434.jpg Attachment: GetAttachmentaspx.jpg You COULD contact Mick Webb from http://www.svomotorsport.com/ , he was the bloke who made these Falcons, he was the fore-runner to Tickford. |

but the first SVO isn't real because it has the wrong wing and doesn't have the grill. and the 2nd doesn't have black B pillars
i went to Mick Webb when i was in Melbourne but it was in between christmas and new years so he was closed. i got the number though so i'll give him a call Monday. mine is at the spray painters at the moment getting the grey re-done, some rust fixed in the typical EA-D spot, front bar replaced becuase the previous owner hit a rabbit. Door handles, B and C pillars, mirrors, cowl cover, wiper arms resprayed. should hopefully get it back in two weeks then pics will be put up did the SVO only come with the 3 speed auto. i'm saying that because it says they come with a 3.23 instead of the 2.77. now on the 3 speed had the 2.77
