Is it possible to install an EB cruise control unit into an EF?

not easily i wouldnt think.. the wiring would all be different... and the distance the throttle butterfly moves where it attatches to the cables... be easier to source the EF/EL one

Yeh thats what I thought, it's just that I am wrecking a 5L EB ghia and wanted to put the cruise in my EF xr8, the mounting points on the throttle body should be the same though being both 5 litres.

Ok just comparred them and they are totally different , the EB one works off vacuam and the Ef on is electronically controlled.

The EF cruise control takes it's sped data from the data line into the cluster. The EB one does not (no data line).

Also the EB unit is completely incompatible with the EF switches you would be looking to put on your wheel.

It is good advice to just go the EF Cruise road, as the setup is both more simple and more reliable in the long run. You should be able to purchase the entire setup fairly cheaply from a wrecker anyway!!!
