nah, XR6 recaro. And Im trying to avoid Welding. Id prefure to remove the spring that forces the seat up.

whats happens is you will notice when you take the bolt out of the side of the adjuster and pull it off the chair is in the back is a thing with teeth that lock into the gear on the chair... The springs in it are so strong (and the material is weak) that it bends either the pivot for the thing with the teeth, or bends the whole housing and then teeth that lock into that gear end up on an angle, and hence don't lock in at all, or all the way in and they keep springing up... Just have a good look at it and make sure nothing is bent in it... You might be able to fix it up...
