hey all
ive got a set of wooden door spears that i would like to install into my eb fairmont do i have to cut some of the trim insert or how do i do it has anyone on here done it before thanks guys |

Hi, are you referring to just the door spears?
If so they should have some metal tabs on the back that go through the door trim and get bent over to hold them in place. Cheers BenJ

hi Ben yea i have the spears but no clips on the back and when i sit them on the door trim they look wrong like i need to cut a bit out of the top of the trim above the handle so they sit flush but i dont want to start cutting till im sure

The factory door handle inserts do have a recess built into them for the wood to sit into.
I do have a set of ED Ghia door trims with the woodgrain I would be happy to part with for the right price. Cheers BenJ

i believe the doortrims are different. my old man bought a set to put in his partners EB Ghia but they didn't look like an easy fit, so eBay they went

Nope, EB2 and ED Fairmont Velour trims use the same material. The only difference with the Ghia is the addition of the woodgrain strip.
And wagons and sedans use the same door trims on the rear doors. Cheers BenJ

so what do i do, do i cut out the section where the wood sits or what i dont know what to do hey Benj what do you want for the trims i want to keep the same material pattern in the trim so it suits the seats
