hi bought some ebay green dash leds for my fairmont ,anyway they dont light up sh i t and the only time you can tell when they are working is when you unplug them,
any one had this drama before?

just figured it out with a multimeter they are polarity sensitive :)

remember LED = light emitting diode

a diode only lets power one way ie a 1 way valve for electricity

i feel like a worse idiot this morning :x
one of the little metal tabs from the cheap assed ebay led fuk n came of and shorted out the cluster.
for any body who want to know fairmont and falcon cluster circuit boards arent the same even though everything swaps over :cry:
also found out that the some a ss hole pulled the oil light and abs light out .
and the oil light is on c un t you know who you are if you done it while you ownd it.

:) :) :) fairmonts are not sposed to have a oil lamp in they have a gauge.
this just proves how dumb i am
it amasing what an owners manual can tell yer .

Hey Mystro,

I got the blues ones for my dash......pain in the butt to install......
Did you have trouble with your 2 x right and left outer leds....when i installed mine they sat too high and push on the plastic plating and the gauges wouldnt work properly.

Had to do some hacking etc etc but all in all it worked ok

and im pretty sure there T10`s

Funniest thing happenend when i tried to update this post to the forums from work....its attached

I said Pain the A**

thought it was hilarious as im the webmarshal administrator for the institute i work for

why dont you guys just make your own leds the ebay ones are sh it i made and sold over 200 sets of leds for ef el and sold them on ebay ages ago with no one haveing any probs at all but these new ebay ones seem to be s**t from what iv herd i ges thats cheep inport stuff for ya
