I have noticed the difference in the internal lighting with the fairmont compared to my futura. The fairmont seems to dim the interior light when the door is closed while my futura interior lights just come on and off with the opening closing of the doors.

I am just after peoples thoughts on whether they are different or is it just the different wiring setup?

From memory, Fairmonts have the high series BEM, whereas your Futura only has the mid series one...so it's the BEM that is different.
