Can't u replace the horn pad with a horn pad off a cruise MOMO wheel?
Theres a few threads where people have relocated the cruise buttons somewhere, do a search.

I think you will find that no one has been game enough to mod a Momo Centre pad to work with cruise.
Current options would be to either source a cruise Momo centre pad, or mount custom switches behind the wheel on a custom bracket. There is nothing stopping you modding your pad, but due to the rarity and cost of these wheels, others have not yet ventured there. BenJ

My build thread covers how I did mine, but I did not think it up.
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/benj-s-eb-budget-buildup-t65386-23.html Kudos goes to Rabidfrog who did this write up which I used as the basis for my design. http://www.fordmods.com/forums/custom-cruise-switch-setup-t49258.html This all originated from Rabidfrogs original thread about his new steering wheel. This thread also show pics of another member mounting the factory switches in the centre console. http://www.fordmods.com/forums/new-wheel-for-my-ed-fairmont-t44088-20.html Cheers BenJ

not a bad solution but do your fingers get caught on them in any situations?

The switches are set at a distance where I have to slightly reach my index finger to reach them.
Under normal use, I have yet to touch them unintionally. They are probable safer in that regard than the factory switches. Cheers BenJ

You use a similar method to how I did mine behind the wheel, but place the switches in the console somewhere.
Look up above a couple of threads, there are a couple of links to my arrangement. BenJ

I had the momo wheel with cruise, and I had a non-cruise pad as well.
I thought about using EF switches - and the EF Cruise motor. Most of the theiry of operation is the same. Or modify the EF switches with EB Resistor values... theyd also work. .. and other alternates are to mount switches in the console, or dash instead. |
