Hi guys, tried the SEARCH feature but didn't offer much help.
I want to add an ignition switch and starter button to my ED Fairmont. Would I go about doing this by just adding an on/off switch between the ignition wire? Or is it a little more complicated than that? And how would I set up a momentary switch for the starter? Also does anyone have a wire colour diagram?

easy dodgy way, pull out starter relay, plug 2 wires in, run to push switch (similar to the fuel door/boot release switch) hard way, tap into ignition wiring off ignition barrel, then run wiring...

errr NO get a relay and a push button switch ( momentary on ) hook the relay up to the starter wire coming from the ign barrel to get power for realy use a +12ve source when ign on only this way u can either start the car with the ign or the button

I'm now thinking about doing something like this too, except I'll be stealing the starter button from a brand new jaguar they are a push start button too, all I have to do now is figure out the security
