My aim is to fix it properly. I replaced the dummy resistor which was open circuit with a 2.2 ohm as recommended but I now cant clear the error code. Does this mean the fault still exists? When the error code was 73 I still couldn't fix it by earthing pin 4 of row 1 but Ford were able to rest it for$200. Should I get Ford to reset it again? Do they have a magic reset?

{USERNAME} wrote: Fix it properly - then you have peace of mind that it might save you injury in a collision. Read the Airbag sticky in the interior forum. To reset codes, all the faults need to be fixed first. The system should beep if there's no bulb or it's blown - so don't waste your time pulling the cluster to do this. It doesn't beep if you pull out the bulb and replace the fuse there is no way of knowing |

I'm currently having some issues with with my airbag light. It has been giving me code 12 when starting up the car. Replacing the fuse only causes it to blow again and again. Battery is about 2 months old. After tinkering around for some time, now when I turn the ignition on I am getting a series of 5 beeps from the fuse box area. . Where do I start?

By reading the Airbag sticky as mentioned earlier.

Quote: Esteven8 Post subject: Re: EF Airbag Diagnostic Reset Have you read the tech doc on the SRS? If not, here is the link. documents.php?d=3 I had to keep clearing various codes off my EF for about a week when I first got her, so it may be a case of having to clear them one at a time. Thanks that info, was very helpful and I was able to reset the airbag light from the information given on the link your provided. documents.php?d=3 |
