The auto climate conversion for this EF we are working on.

I have a couple of questions:

1) The air con only goes on the screen - did a self diagnosis check and got E5.

2) How does air intake sensor fit in the engine bay

3) Some warning lights not lighting up in the instrument cluster - how do you fix that.

The power window conversion worked without a problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1a: Vacuum leak or not connected OR miss match of EL and EF vacuum solenoid/screen.

1b: E5 obviously ambient sensor isn't installed as per next question!

2: Ambient sensor fits into a snug hole in the bumper with one 10mm bolt and a little angle bracket and connects to the Horn Loom (if ABS is installed wires are there)

3: Cluster or CC screen?

Cluster....... Might need globes... or resistor fitted if fairmont to GLi etc.
CC screen...Might need to be pulled apart and refit the LCD as the heat from the globes distorts the case and the rubber/connector to the screen might have moved and shapped away from the lcd contacts

Thanks heaps :!: :!: :!: :D :D :D

Only issue now is the dash lights not illuminating!! CC cluster is working A1, but main cluster lights not illuminating (at startup as should be) are as follows:

low coolant warning light
battery light
oil light

All other light are illuminating, and effected light bulbs have been replaced with new ones, but are still not working!!!??? :(

Any further ideas!?

Cheers. :D

Have you changed the cluster?

iirc mid series dashes don't illuminate the lower panel lights.
Only the lights among the guage themselv's as the lights have been removed from the GLi dashes.

If there is no parkers (on dash) then u need the resistor to accomodate it.
