had to replace heater box and during the fun (?) i managed to dislodge the air vents at the sides of the dash. to be more correct its the part that you move to control where the air flows. any ideas how to fix them so they dont fall beck into the vent area every time i touch them???

you can take out the whole unit but ist the movable parts that keep sinking back about 10mm into the dash..

Ok I get what your on about now.

I just took mine out to paint the surrounds and the falluing back effect has something to do with the vents turning knob on the side not being hooked up correctly I think. I just put mine back in dodgyily cuz I got work but on the weekend I intend to take it apart more and discover the reason.

THere is a little hook on the side and that needs to clip into the vent to allow ari through or not. Check that its not out of place.
