im going for a black and silver interior, im not sure how much ill do, but this is the latest i started with the drivers side rear door trim, it isnt back in yet cause i have to get black material to cover it. does anybody know what i should use, is there any special type of material or just any?

the whole door trim or just the insert??

just the part that goes arount the door handle. i want it to be black, or somthing, maybe leather or swade, or just black felt, i dont know, any ideas.

i like the silver for the window winder handle and the door opener thing. i was going to make the insert black, just woundering what material.

What kind of prep. did you give it and what paint and how much did you use?

just gave it a clean with interior cleaner then a wip over, no sanding, used septone vinly and plastic paint. cost $14. gave it 4 of 5 coats, this stuff only wants 5 mins between coats.

Ah, good to hear no sandning. Never liked that idea, lose the nice texture our trims have then.

the top little bit has that cracked look and the rest is smooth, i reckon it looks good. just need to re apholster that insert, never done any apholstering.

why not cover it in black velour or something like that, with silver bits through it. Have a look at the BA XR trim if you dont know what i mean, sought of like silver scratch marks through the black to break it up a bit.

Yeah i like mrnasty's idea. Black with silver lining will look tops! I actually like you'r door all black zxodus. Maybe a little bit more silver will finish it off i reckon.

I used black veloury-velvety type stuff in mine. It looks cood but catches dust a little.

That looks really good! Velour in black would look hell good! Im doin a bit of black detailing in my car atm, and i was debating how much to do on the doors, becuase my carpet is grey, and the seats etc... its hard to imagine if it would look odd or not?! :|
