Hey all, my drivers door actuator is buggered.. I bought a new one and before i start pulling my door apart i wanted to see if anyone had done this before?

Im hoping it all just slips in and out... minus the rivets

Ive done all four not that long ago for the first time on my EL.Yes you will have to drill out the riverts and bolt the actuator back in.Can be a bit of a pain to do if you have big hands like me... :)

Other wise its a pretty straight forward job and not all that hard to do.

before u replace it test it with the button off... it may be as simple as a misaligned button.

If you open the lock mech carfully noting the position of the moving parts.
You will see two little black diodes in clips.

If one of these is loose and making bad contact or one is short circuit, your locks will cycle. replace the faulty one with an 1N4001.1n4004 or 1N4007 push it into the clips and u should be ok Cost maybe 50c

Hope this helps. :D :D
