So you replaced the ECU?

I'd be looking into the Ignition if it physically wont move past I

The fast flashing jewel called the smartlock light is telling you its immobilized.
You need to re-program the BEM to the Ignition barrel.

ie: turn key to II (if you can) and leave it for 30-45minutes. when you come back the smartlock jewel will be steady.
DO NOT turn off, proceed to start. and presto. trained BEM.

+1

how bout put the old ecu back in. then one (not all at once) at a time pull out all the fuses and replace any you find that may be blown (WITH THE SAME AMP FUSE). i cant see how pull a stereo out can stop the car from starting. sounds like you and your mate and his sister have a condition called passion fingers, basically everything you touch, you f**k. put down the ecu and call someone that has a certificate saying they know cars

If you young Wipper Snappers went out and bought a Wiring harness to connect your new stereo to and took a bit of time and done things properly you wouldnt be blowing things up. And why would you guys rip the radio out with force. Common sense would tell if its jammed something is holding it in. :? . You still have not said if you checked the CRT fuse yet which blows if you short the radio wiring which also runs the smart lock cct. Now your saying the ignition is stuffed. What are you guys doing to this poor old car ? Gees if you guys cant operate and fix an old Falcon keep away from the newer ones and let people who know what there doing fix them.

Who knows they might have blown the flux capacitor now and its causing the smartlock to get infra-red backlash through the exhaust manifold.

Really....He has to be pulling our leg.

Using the old "My Mate" line. I love that one.
You know when you hear it.

"My Mate - aka HE" met this lovely young lady in bar and took her home......turned out to be a guy. "We - aka HIS MATES" laughed "at him" about it for weeks.

If you f**k it, admit it. Don't blame "Your Mate". It is a good way to loose respect.
