Just bought a Ghia auto knob off EBay and when it arrived was found to have the chrome button broken. The guy has offered to refund my money but I was wondering if the button can be replaced. From what I can see it looks like it can't. Would appreciate any help offered.

Thanks

Ok, the wreckers in Melbourne make a cut at the front of the shifter and take it out and put in a new chrome button. the cut is where you won't see it as it faces the stereo.

Takes about half an hour - unsure on the cost as I got mine done ages ago, but I am sure someone may coime up with a price for you.

I heard a new shifter in leather will set you back around $400. I simply repaired mine and posted a thing on here a while back on how to do it. I will look it up for you.

Ok i found it, all you need is a drill, a small countersunk self tapping screw and something spongy like an earplug.

I've got a new AU momo black t-bar shifter, which I believe there is a thread on here somewhere to mod it to fit on EF/EL and it's not $400, more like 1/4 of that.
PM if interested
