has anyone tried to put the top half of ef/el dash onto the bottom half of ea/ed so that handbrake can still stay the same? will it it work

yer i've done that converstion but didn't change the bottom half, all i did was cut it out a tad and pushed it up with a few cable ties to hold in up and it fitted up nicely! if you manage to hook up the cluster let me no how you go with it, i can't get the tacho to read right and the temp gauge.

I recently went the whole hog with mine and the handbrake setup was pretty easy to sort out. Once I'm totally happy with my 'prototype' handbrake setup, I'll stick some photos of my brackets mounted under the car. Everyone who does this conversion says the same thing: "The more parts you use for the conversion, the easier it is to do."

yeah i want to keep the handbrake where it is so just doing a bit of research to see if it can be done
