Man nice work, fair bit of work involved with that. The EA-ED interiour aged poorly so the EF dash gives it a fresh look.

nice work.... kepp the EA steering column, That way you can have a sports steering wheel on it. Cant do that to a real EF/EL as they must have the airbags

Well Done with the conversion!
I have done a similar conversion with my ea - except I basically coverted all the wiring, ecu & driveline also from a donor car (the way to go if anyone is considering similar coversion). However I haven't changed the front seats! I am also interested in how you made EF seats fit. My EA ones are crap and I have some decient EF ones to replace them with. More Info Please!!!!!! RS

Modify your existing seat rails to get the correct height.
I removed the rear brackets and cut them down and rewelded them on and added a small flat peice of metal to the front to allow the bolts to line up. Simple really.

Harddriver, If you do that to the floor pan you will need an engineers cert for sure.

you don't need to cut out the old floor do to it, that and they'll never know. it'd be a lot safer and harder to get found out compared to moding the rails.

Damn, time to revive this thread. I am sorry I have not got back to yall about the handbrake. To tell you the truth I didn't want to post anything until I was entirely happy with its operation. An then, I kind of forgot about it with all the stuff going on. Enough excusses, eh?
I discovered why it was not clamping so well a couple of months back when I went to replace the brakepads and I discovered that one of the rear calipers was clamped on. Fixed now. The doco is in progress, should be finished in a few days.

It involved some welding of the original handbrake arm. And yes it works just as well as the old one. But it is much easier to use. Deadset, you were reading my mind. I thought I was doing the thread mining. Cant wait for the doco, I've just finished doing my EF conversion bar the handbrake. |

Putting in an EL interior into a EB2 or ED, everything bolts up except for the lower outer mounts adjacent to each door and of course the way the dash bolts to the pedal box is different too. I'll post a few progress pics of my installation as soon as I find the photos.
