Will EFII Futura S/W rear doors accept EF or EFII Fairmont Door Cards - are they the same?

Another question; Did Ford Australia produce any models of their latter E series station wagons with leather upholstery. I have a Ford wrecker offering EF rear seats and door cards in grey leather - could he be mistaken in this?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks, Bruce.

If they are Sedan door skins the answer is no. However Fairlanes share the LWB platform and from what I know the door cards ARE interchangeable.

I have never heard of a late model E series S/W with factory optioned leather. As previously posted, most likely out of a Fairlane, the rear seat is a bolt in fit if this is the case.
Fairmont Ghia sedans could option the full leather interior. You can make the sedan rear seats fit in the wagon, but the side bolsters won't. So you'll need Fairlane ones or get your current ones recovered to match.

I think the leather rear sets may be a bit sus and becuase the seller lives too far away for me to take a look at them I may just have to leave these.

So this brings me back to this:

If they are off another wagon, yes. Sedan rear door cards will not.

Claytree,

I think you have got it wrong. Have a look in a car-park, the top outside corner is where you will see it more. Sedans, are all the same door. Wagon and LTD / Fairlane are all the same. That is why the styling looks like they added the wagon bit to a sedan. It meant they didn't have to make 3 different rear doors.

Short wheel base and long wheel base rear door cards are the same. I fitted Fairlane Ghia cads to my Fairmont sedan and Fairmont Ghia cards to the Fairmont wagon. Have 3 sets in the shed, 1 Wagon, 1 Fairmont Sedan, 1 Fairlane and they are the same apart from trim.

The lower half of the door where the door card fits is exactly the same on all of them.
The only difference with the rear door between wagon , sedan and fairlane is the top frame is longer.
Look at the top of the quarter window. It is pointed in a sedan but flat in a wagon/fairlane.
That is the only difference!

The EF/EL/NF/NL/DF/DL door cards are all vinyl covered - the only leather will be in the padded armrests (where fitted), which can be velour covered also.
