hey guys, first off, if this is in the wrong section i do apologize.
after doing a motor swap and manual conversion ( took dash out to put in manual pedal box ) my heater dosnt seem to turn off all the way...it gets nice and hot but when tuned all the way to the cold setting the air coming out of the vents is still warm...i have put a brand new heater tap in and cant think of anything els :S i am going to get my A/C regassed very soon but there is no point if the air coming out is warm :S

The knob goes all the round to cold? It isn't jamming...

If so when you put the dash back in and clipped the heater cable into the side of heaterbox flap you've clipped it in the wrong spot...

You'll need to pop the glove box back out and see where the flap flap connects on... Unclipp it from the arm and wind the knob all the way round to cold and determine whether cold is all the way in or out (can't remember now)... The manually swing the arm which controls the flap all the way in the same direction until it goes no further and clip the cable in there...

Should work... This is all I'd say is wrong...

Cheers,
Tim

i know this is the wrong section but you seem knowledgeable, i just need to confirm...will a starter motor from a ef/el fit into a bf wagon? i know a bf starter will fit into a ef so id assume ef would fit into a bf

Bolt pattern was the same... But the BF runs a reduction starter and hence its much smaller... So the manifold or engine mount may pose physical implications to it fitting...

Also as it is a reduction starter the BF has a smaller capacity battery because a reduction starter takes less amps to turn over... So the BF battery might fail early running that starter and if a BF drops under 9 volts when cranking (which it may with the extra demand) then it will cause a whole host of weird problems with the engine management...

If it were me I'd buy a BF starter for the BF...

Cheers,
Tim
