Yeh i too am not sure about the scoop, looks good otherwise. Getting rid of the yellw on the headlights will make it look heaps better too. Nice work!

You don't like ma scoop ...well F**k ya's!!

Just kidding, scoop was supposed to be more functional than aesthetic ...problem is, hole is cut in bonnet now!

Any suggestions? Maybe a matching scoop next to it on other side to balance it out a little? What do you think?

Yeah, I do need to get some new CLEAR headlights (I've seen them on ebay), maybe some clear front indicators too!

Thanks for the 'constructive' opinions!

ahh looks good, only thing for me that doesnt look good IMO is the scoop... but if you're happy with it ... :) nice work

ahh the kit looks nice though... how much would a pair of side skirts set me back?

Thanks Nesa!

Personally, I like the scoop, as I know it allows a lot more air to enter the snorkel, ...as I've always wondered how the snorkel was supposed to pick up any air at all with the bonnet down (very choking & restrictive!)

I wanted the 'scoop' profile to assist or 'ram' air into the intake when at speed!

On the cosmetic side, maybe I should just have an identical scoop fitted next to it, or go a pair of the XR vents instead, which are a flatter profile.

Bit of a bummer really, 'cos I thought it looked great at first!

Incidentally, Venom sideskirts are approx. $795.00 a pair, painted & fitted ...NOT cheap!

yeah if you've got the T-50 bit you'll be sweet. the wheel might take some effort to get off but it will come off eventually!

Cheers Bob!

I've just put steering wheel on.

Everything was piss easy (including wiggling the old wheel off), only thing that was a hassle was that I had to drill another hole in the rubber foam on either side, so both horn switch tabs would fit in the foam properly.

Everything reassembled, no airbag warning light, so seems AOK ...only problem is now my horn doesn't work!

I press the pads on either side, and I think I can hear the switches clicking underneath, but no sound!

Looks like I'll have to take the f**k airbag off again, and check the horn switches & wiring ...unless you have any other suggestions?

Thanks mate!

Although, I've had predominantly negative reactions to my bonnet scoop!

It works great tho' definitely allows more air into the snorkel (STD arrangement seems very boxed in & restrictive with bonnet down!)

I wanted it to serve a purpose, rather than be cosmetic ...oh well.

By the way, have now added some interior shots, including new steering wheel etc.

Enjoy!

What is the stuff over the gear surround and those areas?

Interior looks good, only looks half done though.

Hey mate,

You guys all on holiday like me?

Stuff around gear surround etc. is a stick-on brushed aluminium dash kit.

I actually pulled some of it off from around the A/C panel & demister switch panels because it looked a bit OTT and wasn't sitting flush with rest of dash panels.

The stuff is good, but a bit too thick & raised IMO!

I might even opt for a 'woodgrain' or 'carbon fibre' repacement kit!

I normally have a couple of extra gadgets mounted on the windscreen/dash:

1. A Tomtom touch-screen GPS unit
2. A Stealth Ninja RD, great for thwarting the 'Boys in Blue' and their tripod mounted 'revenue earners'!

Of course, RD's are still legal here in WA!
