hey every1 need to get the faceplate out of my brothers EF, ive pulled the ashtray out and removed the screw in the bottom left what do i need to remove on the right, the left is loose but the right wont budge yet

a screwdriver should do it... maybe you should try putting some vice grips on the screwdriver and then try turning it.
its not normally that hard to do... |

yer whell i pulled the ashtray out and undid the screw in the bottom left and the left is as loose as and the right is still stuck i dont wanna pull at it incase i crack the surround, are they hard to crack and if that does happen how much to replace it

Ah M8 simple answer there isnt a screw just pull it's a ball joint thing just pull it and itll come off fine Did with my EF Fairmont shopuldnt crack it or anything

Ive pulled my dash off/out several times over the pass few weeks for audio and various other stuff just firmly pull on it and itll come off!

Yea its a ball join and just pops out.
from there pull the bottom out first then you have 3 little lugs on the top. too easy

yeh little ball joint. seems scary the first time....but the more u do it the more u realise how harmless it is

Yeha i agree i was like s**t havea i broken somthing when i first did had a look at the backa nd i was like sweet too easy |

still a bit scared bout doing this so were should i grip and how hard do i pull
EDIT. Just gave it a massive yank. THere is definately some sort of clip in the bottom right corner |

mate im being serious i want to get this done tonight also i have some 6.5 speakers any chance of getting them in the front doors or will i have to mount the 4s i got packed in a box in the boot

Will toomorow M8 but im telling ya there deffiently no clip there only a ball join thing...(maybe try witha flat head screw driver down the side and try and loosen/move it forward)
You should be able to fit 6" speakers without any spacers what sort of speakers are they???? |
