BTW - those auto shifter handles - where did you say they are from? rare spares over here don't know what i'm talking about... :(

hey ug's
its not really that hard to fit a pop up sunroof just time and patience and sharp side cutters. pm me if you want more details than whats already on this forum.

price is a big factor but if you got the balls it can be done yourself and save , when i find a electric one for ef/el at the wreckers i work at i will fit it but from the electric ones i've seen you need the roof linning aswell not sure about after market types

you should be able to get a good pop up sunroof for a under a $100 at most wreckers (depending stock of course) just make sure the rubber seals are in good shape oh and have fun.

Couldnt agree more; depending where you look and on your luck you can get them in most price ranges.

Yep, the TVS one Im after will go up and slide back into the roof..
The "TVS" actually stands for "Tilt, Vent, Slide" as in poping it up, opening it partially and opening fully with it hidden within the roof cavity.

Yep, sure do!
Its the one im after, the hollandia TVS sunroof.
Thats the one that goes for 1900-2000ish installed..
I had this roof in my sportsman and its of excelent quality, the newer ones are identical and are meant to be more reliable even tho ive had no issues with my old one. :P

Well, at 1st I admit i was like meh, untill I owned a car with one - they rock!
Next best thing to a convertable, great at sunset and awesome to leave closed just to let light into the cabin..
Also increases value of the car and looks great from outside!
Adds a nice luxurious feel from any seat too :)

Ford use TVS sunroofs - the only difference is with the control buttons - aftermarket ones have more buttons (2 preset buttons, a 'C' button for close and 2 X arrow buttons for opening and closing).

Webasto Sunroofs can be found at the following dealers :

1 PRESTIGE SUNROOFS WA 2/31 Shields Cresent
BOORAGOON WA 6154 AU 61 (8) 9317 1944

2 LINEAR CONCEPT Unit 2/25 Buckingham Dve
WANGARA WA 6065 AU 61 (8) 9309 0111

3 SUNROOF CENTRE (Adelaide) 37 Gilbert Street
ADELAIDE SA 5000 AU 61 (8) 8211 7600

4 CUSTOM SUNROOFS 110 Mitchell Street
MAIDSTONE VIC 3012 AU 61 (3) 9318 4978

5 ULTRA COOL SUNROOFS 1 Mayston Street
HAWTHORN VIC 3123 AU 61 (3) 9882 9423

6 PRESTIGE SUNROOFS 11 Harker Street
BURWOOD VIC 3125 AU 61 (3) 9808 8966

7 THE SUNROOF CENTRE 4/401 Princes Highway
NOBLE PARK VIC 3174 AU 61 (3) 9548 3366

8 SUPERTRIM TASMANIA 23 Springfield Avenue
MOONAH TAS 7009 AU 61 (3) 6272 0566

9 ANY WINDOW TINTING & SUNROOFS 26 Grenville Court
PHILLIP ACT 2606 AU 61 (2) 6232 5561

10 GRACE AUTO GROUP 76 Hoskins Street
MITCHELL ACT 2911 AU 61 (2) 6241 4533

I have had one installed by Ultra Cool Sunroofs in VIC and Prestige Sunroofs also in VIC.

Looks like there's a couple of fitters in WA for you too - you should be able to get one for $1,950 - $2,000 if you play your cards right...any more and you're paying too much IMHO

Cheers,
Steve
