Yesterday my trip computer suddenly stopped. Checked all wiring today, got a flicker of numbers but nothing else. When i pulled it out it was very hot to touch. Is it possible to overheat a trip computer? Any ideas on how to fix all this?

8-) From my experience with trip computers, when the display is erratic or nothing at all, you can change the display and film from another trip computer to to fix it. i made a trip computer up from two, one had broken buttons and the other had erratic display. but if it is hot to touch, i would think that maybe printed circuit is stuffed. 8-)
