i used needle nose pliers, but i put a rag around them so they dont f**k the needle up!
also dont squeeze too hard, and when you put them back on make sure they dont touch the cluster face, leave a 1-2 mm gap, as i found out i pushed them on too hard and they didnt move, when i accelerated or reved!!

Get a fork under them and gently lever them up.

thanks for the replies guys, i managed to get em off bare hand. peeled paint off the back of all the needles and painted them white with white out came up heaps better.

haha already had done that months ago. main reason for changing the needle colour was that the orange backing didnt let the blue light come through very well. and also because the orange was ugly looks soo much better. took a good 3 hours just to peel and paint every needle, time well spent wen you see the finished product.

You could have gotten EF needles. They are already painted white.

i did think of that, but im on a strict budget with this car as i only work part-time and study, so white-out seemed to do the job at a minimal cost and quickly

lol... I dont ever remember paying for a set. Pick-a-part wreckers and deep pockets were always winners.
