hey guys, just need to remove the needles in my cluster. already removed all 4 small needles, but cant seem to get the large rev and speedo needles out. they seem like they are much harder to pull out. need a quick fix guys, thanks

i used needle nose pliers, but i put a rag around them so they dont f**k the needle up!
also dont squeeze too hard, and when you put them back on make sure they dont touch the cluster face, leave a 1-2 mm gap, as i found out i pushed them on too hard and they didnt move, when i accelerated or reved!!

thanks for the replies guys, i managed to get em off bare hand. peeled paint off the back of all the needles and painted them white with white out :) came up heaps better.

lol well done. ever though about putting T5 Wedges behind the cluster for that crisp blue look?

haha already had done that months ago. main reason for changing the needle colour was that the orange backing didnt let the blue light come through very well. and also because the orange was ugly :P looks soo much better. took a good 3 hours just to peel and paint every needle, time well spent wen you see the finished product.

You could have gotten EF needles. They are already painted white. :wink:

i did think of that, but im on a strict budget with this car as i only work part-time and study, so white-out seemed to do the job at a minimal cost and quickly :P

hahaha exactly what i did/still do. i had the exact same problem PQV but pinched some white 1's but my cluster is still a bit blotchy in some areas, is yours the same and if not how'd you fix it? i got T5 wedges behind mine :P
