They all should be identical accross the range. Perhaps your globe which lights up the buttons and display panel is blown. |

I'm very particular when it comes to these sort of thing. Although it looks nice, the light spread was not even enough. Too bright in the centre of the screen and the edges a bit too dull. Visibility during the day was not adequate either. Tried many different types of LEDs and filters but just couldnt get it right to my liking. I thought i'd leave it amber as it doesnt look all that bad. Sort of complements the rest of the amber/red highlights on the whole dash. Too bad you cant buy perspex filters like the factory orange one, but in blue. |

I must have pulled my dash apart a million times. I think i will just leave everything the way it is. Quite happy with the results. |

If you are refering to the A/C and fresh/recycled air buttons, this was on of the biggest most fiddly jobs. It requires removing the whole control unit and taking it all apart. You need to do this to access the circuit board and remove this alltogether. Once you have it out its a matter of desoldering the factory globes and soldering new leds in place. Hardest part was actually hoping that the positive and negative were soldered correctly. Luclkily i managed to get it first go.
Big thanks to another fellow Ford Modder, StanXR i think is who it was, who assisted me with a bit of info and progress pics of when he attempted this also. |
