here's the new handbrake. we all know the old XF ones are not much chop at all so this should do a better job
Have you got this hooked up and working ??
Have you modded the existing cable system to suit, or did you go the EF/EL system for the rear axle as well ??

Nice work mate, this will be one fine XF ute.

Much inspiration for XF owners.

I would pop down to a wreckers and try and score one of EA-EL and try it..... probably be the same for the temp too.... would be worth looking into that as well

I would be very sure they'd be different. However EF/L oil sender should fit, i'm sure they same thread. Probably same deal for temp.

Hi Mate.

Looks like you are well on your way to finishing.

Are you sure the EF/EL Oil Pressure sender is obsolete? I bought mine from Ford earlier in the year for around the $70 mark.

Re the temp, there is no wire coming from the cluster to connect a signal too. It is transferred on the Data Link Wire from the ECU. The only solution I can think of is to hook up andECU and just have it run in the background so to speak. You may also find the tacho is all over the place when hooked up direct to the coil. Again, the signal needs to come from the EL ECU. Not sure how you might work around that one. If you have an EL V8 ECU it might work.

I also have a part here you might be interested in. I have the finishing cap that sits under the centre of the dash from a benchseat car. It would tidy things up nicely.

Good luck with it all.

Cheers
BenJ

Stupid question, but do you have a suppressor on the coil?

Let me know how you go. I fitted a new and better suppressor to my coil which stopped most the feedback in mine, but from time to time i do get the occasional whine now and again so it could be my msd?
