The original 8" is cactus and have bought a semi-decent fusion as a replacement. Question is, how do i get the parcel shelf/or just carpet out as the sub exits out the parcel shelf, not the boot side.

Thanks

You will need to remove the speaker grilles first.... (Bolts underneath the parcel tray)
Then remove the speakers (the 6" ones)
Then pop the plastic plugs off to remove the parcel tray carpet.
(Also pop off the child restraint hook, and the blanking bits for the other 2 positions)
The parcel tray carpet should almost be removable (Apart from the Middle Seat Belt)....
There should then be a couple of bolts holding the subby in place.....

My memory is very faded, as I did this almost 5 years ago...
Hope this helps

Well to pull the factory sub out you will have to
(a)fold down the back seat
(b)pull the rubber strip off that holds the carpet to the parcel shelf
(c) remove the plastic inserts that cover up the boot
(d) remove all of the tabs that hold the carpet down & if had a child seat remove the bolt aswell
(e)remove the speaker covers & speakers

then the carpet should be abled to be removed but be CAREFUL as the underlay is s**t & most likley will be broken & cracked so keep a vacum handy.

Question what are you going to do put a bigger sub in or get a sub box?

well its only the standard premium stereo with the stack. I just got the sub out (btw thanks fellas). Im not after anything super-wow for bass, just balanced. I bought a 8" 200 wat fusion which is already alot better than the old factory with holes in it where the rubber at degraded. its a free air sub so it will do alright along with a phillips 300 watt amp i've got kickn about
