I am sourcing a complete EL Fairmont interior for an EF Futura - seats, door trims, console, dash with auto climate, trip computer.

Is this all a straight swap?

yes and no. seats are fine, but you have the climate control conversion to complete, as well as the rear power window conversion. pretty much have to strip the car out from firewall to taillights and swap everything.

Of course it is cam.

I suggest if you want climate control to get a complete conversion. Don't be sucked in a get a EL one, make sure the conversion is definatly for an EF.

Make sure your converion has all the major components such as Blend Door Motor, Fan Speed Controller, Vacume Soleniod, Sunload Sensor, Ambient Temp Sensor, CC unit and the dash loom and Body Control Module

You will also need a High series headlight switch for the fairmont cluster...

Ok Adam, what is the difference between EF and EL auto climate systems?

nothing major really. Its just that a EL dash loom won't plug into and work on a EF.

You can mix and match, for example, i am using a NL dash loom but with a EF CC unit and a EF vac soleniod. (I wanted black buttons)

Lets just say for example that you wanted a EL CC unit in your EF, then you need to make sure you have a EL vacume soleniod to go with it

Buts it much easier if you buy a complete EF converison. They everything will all plug in and work with no hunting around for other parts

How long does it take to convert the dash from manual to auto climate control?

Possibly mount 6 x 9s onto rear parcel shelf - front speakers should be ok.

Do I need the EL Fairmont ECU and EL Fairmont BEM to run everything correctly?

Will the EL Dash loom plug straight in - the ones behind the fuses?

Can I add the wiring from the EL dash loom to run the trip computer, Fairmont cluster, auto climate, front footwell lamps and power antenna onto the EF dash loom?
