Hi folks,
this site was a great help to me over the 2years I have owned my EL Fairmont, giving me advice on where to get parts and ideas I had. Im in a position now where I have purchased another ford to have a change and im struggling selling my car. I am utilising the Trading Post ( QLD) , carsales.com, carpoint.com, carsguide.com and local newspapers. I have been advertising for 4 weeks now and had no calls or interested buyers. Is there any other way i can use the site to help me sell. I do not have point acess to the "forsale" section. I have access to pics via the link / site below on community webshots. My hopeful price is $12200 - reduced greatly form my original asking.

* Any help would be great thanks

$6,900 to $9,400?
I f**k wish.

Redbook and such don't mean that much.
Having said that, 12 is probably a bit steep.

I'm saying that I wish I could get them for that.
I'd have two :D
I paid 16,500 for mine.
There was a guy in my area seeking in excess of 20.
That one on E-Bay had a buy it now for 20, it had a 347 in it though, but the body wasn't perfect.

That price is way over the top.
I'm selling a 97 EL Fairmont Ghia V8 with XR8 bodykit on it and I have only had 3 bites in 3 months and that was at $11500. I've dropped to $10500 now and still not much happeneing.
I would be looking under $10k for you car easy.

Better then AU's :D
Only 184 Manuals were made, out of 356 total, and I dunno how many have been written off.
They've actually gone up a bit in value. Few years back you could pick up a nice one for $14,000.
Mine JUST ticked over 100,000, night before last.
Should hold it's value nicely.
But I'll never sell it, so it's a moot point.

Timmeh, EL V8's over here are around for the 12-13 mark.
WA must have more of them or something!
What's really worth ridiculous amounts are XH's.

295,000ks isnt doing me any favours either.
I think $12500 is a fair price for my car but no one is interested so I have to take less for it. I need the cash for the new house.

Yeah, that amount of K's scares off the people who don't know there fords.
I was toying with the idea of flogging my Fairmont to buy an EL, but with over 300,000 I'd never get anything near enough for how good a car it is.
Better off just modding it :D

Dare I say 347 for your EL? :D
A stroked Ghia... now that's an idea!
