A very basic question but I'm stuck already. How do I unplug the wiring from the back of the fuel door and boot release switches on the dash fascia? Tried pulling them straight out without success and I can't see any retaining clip.

they have a little tab that you push in, and then they pull out. i think there on the top or left hand side of the plug.

Squeeze the plugs from the bottom and pull.

Squeeze and use a flathead screwdriver to help it out, otherwise you'll be there for hours.

Thanks for the advice. Would have been struggling for hours without it. The looms attached to the fascia came off easily, and as suggested the looms attached to the instrument cluster certainly needed a screwdriver to move them.

The odometer bulb has blown, and reckon I might as well replace the others to save having to do this job again. There are 21 bulbs (plus a different looking bulb holder for the Smartlock warning which I won't touch). The odometer bulb holder is grey and the bulb can be removed. All other bulb holders are blue or black and the bulbs do not pull out. Most bulb holders are marked 12/1.2 but some have other markings - 2 or 25 or 4. The odometer bulb holder is marked 21 or maybe 2.1 and I can't make out the wattage on the bulb itself.

My question is can anyone advise whether 1.2 is the correct wattage for all 21 bulbs.

From memory, the different coloured bulb holders designate different globe ratings. I'd just replace the odometer one, too much hassle otherwise. They last for years anyway.

Also, you shouldn't need a screwdriver for any of the plugs. Unless you have girly hands :P

the ones with the blue globe holders are not a replaceable globe, u will need another with globe/holder (can get replacements from autobarn, but its an expensive way) or change to the white or black holders. the globes are all T5 1.2 watt, if u buy them in pairs from most auto shops at $2.95 a pair u will get ripped off. go to repco and ask for a box of 10 they normally cost around $5 the box. i replaced mine and the fascia lights up almost twice as bright now, like it would have been from new...

I'd suggest changing them to LED's and not worry about them blowing for the life of the car.

Replaced the blown instrument cluster bulbs, all works ok, but now the clock bulb is blown. Do I need to remove the dash fascia panel again or can I just prise out the small panel that contains the clock?

Yes otherwise it will snap. Just take the surround off and replace the bulb.

I think if you want it to come out you push it from behind outwards (?)
