hey all

just wondering (Leroy might be best!) if the EL GT interior, the black inserts for the dash surround etc - can you get them still?

at a guess i'd say not. but its probably cheaper to paint it yourself either way.

paint can scratch off... genuine EL GT most likely will wear better.

yep thats what i'd prefer - no little imperfections or anything, want it looking tops!

id give it a go painting it first. its gonna be much cheaper. probably look 90% as good as the genuine thing, for only a fraction of the cost.

if you do a s**t job, it will look s**t,

if you clean and prime it properly and paint all the way around the edges including a little underneath (to prevent edges from flaking)....

...there is no reason why it shouldn't be as good as per original ford

you may get it looking tops after its done, but give it a few months/years and the slight scratches and stuff will show.
i painted mine and it wears well.. but original is better.
and if no ones priced one :P
