hey everyone quick question. my mates EL igniton barrel has died. when you put the key in and turn it doesnt click to acc on and start any more it just turns round and round and round.

if we get a new one do we just take the column cover off turn it to ACC push the pin in and slide it out and slide the new one in then leave it in the ACC position for an hour to retrain smart lock?

The back part of the lock has fallen apart.
Remove entire lock using center punch and hammer.
Then remove barrel.

how do i do that. normally to pull the ignition out we just turn the keys to ACC and push that little pin in and the whole thing comes out. just never done it on a broken one before

update.. well unfortunately there is no update... he cant afford a new ignition barrel and sadly i cant find anyone who has one. if anyone has an old one around theyd like to donate please PM me just 1 key for it will do.
