Hey guys,

Just wondering how hard it is to switch an El gli dashboard and cluster with El XR6 parts??? Would it be a job that a beginner could do?

Thanks all

The cluster will plug straight in however you will need to change the oil pressure swith for a sensor or the oill pressure gauge will not work! check out this tech docco, lots of info about the diferent cluster and changes need to use them documents.php?d=14

Entire Dash? Bolts and wires are 'plug and play'

Dashes are Identical, however the XR6 one prolly has a Passenger Air bag.
If not, there's NO reason to change the dash.

If your car has ABS brakes, then all the engine bay wiring is already there to add the Low washer level indicator and the Low Coolant Warning (which I think you already have)

The Cluster itself will bolt straight into the existing dash and plug right in, you WILL have to replace the Oil Switch with an Oil Sender Unit in the engine bay.

Thanks guys, that's some good intel right there.

Current dash is a bit faded so i gonna buy another and experiment with some paint on it.
