Im currently in the process of installing driving lights to my EL XR6.
I cannot for the life of me find a hole in the firewall that I can run a wire through for the switch.
Does anyone know where I can find one?

Cheers

if its an auto there will be a hole where the clutch cable would bo through otherwise pull out a grommet and feed your wires through it!

Isn't there a plugged opening just to the right of the master cylinder? I'm sure thats where I ran my line for my battery for the stereo.

That is the 1 . I used tht 1 for my amp power cable. It,s the only 1 I could find aswell. I think there is 1 on the left as well ( where the bonnet cable goes ) but that looks to hard to get into.

Thanks, I'll check them out tomorrow night...

Just finished fitting the lights tonight...what a f**k around that was...

Had to make up some custom brackets to mount the lights to...there is NOWHERE near the hole to fit the light to...all is sweet now though.

find a likely spot where your not going to hit anything, and make your own.

drill your own and use a small cable gland or grommet.

i also ran mine thru the bonnet release cable grommit, but whilst feeding the 4 guage wire thru, the bloody thing slipped out. crawlled under the dash and was near impossible to pout some force on it to shove it back in... in the end i split the grommit, cut out some material in the middle and replaced it. then just went round it with some silicon. should be sweet now

Yeah there's actually a few places.
Another one is the accelerator cable hole.

DONE!!!!

I ended up using the accelerator cable hole, was easy to access and had plenty room....

Im very pleased with the results!!

I still need to tidy up the wires a bit. And the light shines under the car at the front, almost looks like white neons or something LOL, I'll need to try and block that off a bit.

I might try hacking up the vent cover that I removed, to block up the hole on the outside of each light, make it look a bit more snug....but I'm quite pleased with the result!
