I know that this has probably been touched on before but my driver's side window is very slow on its way up.
It looks like one side is going up faster than the other. This is causeing the rubbing and the slow return.

Is it possible to fixx this yourself

And if anyone has any pics on how to do it.

Cheers
Scott

get some silicone spray or graphite powder and put some in the window tracks on each side.

i think the graphite powder is better, but ull have a bunch of guys tell u the sprays the way to go. either one should give you a big improvement

Yeah i saw that post a couple of weeks ago and bought some Selly's EZY GLIDE.

It didn't fix the problem though.

How much are you meant to spray?

hmm not a s**t, but a good spray, and run in the window up and down a bit whilst ur doing it to spread it around a bit.

if it doesnt work, then your probably in need of new window mechanisms. the falcon ones are known to be crap.

when ur window goes up, does it go up on a bit of an angle?

Yeah mine leans on an angle.

Thats why i thought you might be able to adjust it.

Ill try moving the window at thesame time as i spray.

Cheers

You can try adjusting the window where it mounts to the regulator. But generally the regulator is worn out and will need to be replaced.

Fairmonts Gear in Oakleigh do a reco one for $135 - you hand yours in and get a reco one back.

Fordewise in Mordialloc do it for $125 - again reco and you hand yours in. Reco ones are better as the cables are stringer than the Ford ones.
