Last night the left passenger switch in th EF would'nt work.
So I pull apart the centre console to access the switches now I notice in the futura's they have 2 single switches with connectors for each window where as the Fairmont has the same switch assembly as in the EA-ED.
What can I put in the contacts to stop the carbon build up as the same thing happens in the EB & I'm sick of scraping carbon off these switches

I'm going to try electrical & mechanic spray/lubricant on there?

Your best bet is silicon grease. Check your regs and make sure they're not binding - if they're working too hard on the up cycle, that will cause more arcing in the window switches. I take it the carbon buildup will be more on the up contacts.

Get some relays to do the hard work, and make the switches control them.
